battlecry- new color illustration created last week

battlecry

my bedroom door: a work-in-progress…it looks NOTHIN like this anymore (will post)
#49-1 2012/04/10 (deleted post?)
Though originally called “Don’t Look Back”- I am sticking with *BATTLECRY*, the title I gave it the moment it was finished. I did this during chemo- partly why it has never been offered for sale. A smaller piece (11X14″, unframed. Acrylic and Gouache on Bristol Board. contact Vanessa and CC me)
I believe i may be the red entity riding on the “Picasso Legs” turning back to summon the troops into battle. I seem to have given myself breasts? The dark smear across chest is the cancer (if i remember correctly). This will be included in “Hotel Chemo” -the next project as soon as *CATGODZ* get’s done (working title is “C is for CAT”- though I am tending towards CATGODZ…). This is under $2000! and if you can’t afford that (list price is $2,800)- talk to Vanessa- We expect everyone to be honest. Remember if U pay list price it allows us to discount elsewhere. (Either way- list price is less the 40% the galleries will be asking in June.) This is NOT a group for investors- they can afford the additional 40%. This is for people who want to buy it because it moves them- not for re-sale purposes.
Only 1 piece per person, please. For now anyway. First come, first serve! This will ONLY be available here- not to be represented elsewhere (at least until June). Grab it! Fully “Automatic”, each brush-stroke is a breath!. Tomorrow I shall post a second piece and should u want to see the full dozen (now 11) – contact us, email or FB message. All personal data, pricing etc…please OFF-THREAD.
PS:it is unframed. I would part with this for a grand- if u really need it and are prepared to loan it back for a retrospective should I pass away or should it be requested by a journal for publication or it is chosen for an exhibit. We will obviously cover transport and insurance costs. All art purchased comes with signed certificate outlining this and other information relating to the creation of piece. Everything I sell is 100% archival and is in my (humble) opinion, of the highest quality.
PPS:Though it is first come, first serve, we reserve 72 hrs to consider your application. Vanessa will explain why.

“Battle cry”
14″x11″ available!!! JUMP on this- one of the first fully automatic paintings done during chemo — at Lincoln MemeWay.

“Call to Battle”
Three stages- beginning in 2008 or 9 and then a year ago. Then a day ago. Time shrinking?

Final Skin has that odd professor-looking character on right side. Those that attended will remember flatter color. Much nicer flow now. I remember riding those Picasso legs into town. I love how it simultaneously isuggests a landscape while standing up in a 4″ deep plane – the trick is to hold it up tonally, evenly almost like a pattern while maintaining the Figuritive plausability. Dude in bow-tie is a trip

Final touches – i caught a missing tone and now it feels almost acquatic. “Calling the Troops to Battle”.2013: Original Skin- done in 2008- when i needed them the firstime.
