To contribute to the shared log of David’s Facebook posts, please follow a few simple guidelines. Access the timeline of his posts by going to “David’s photos”, under the Photo tab of his Facebook page. To log one of his posts follow these steps:
- Check if the post has already been logged: if it has, check if it was logged properly; if not, start logging it.
- Identify a post by the ID number of the piece associated with the photo published by David, followed by the marker //, followed by the date of the post in format yyyy/mm/dd.
- If you cannot identify the piece use key #0; other contributors might be able to help.
- If the photo is not one of David’s art pieces, use the key #N.
- If you can identify a particular skin, associate its number in chronological order. For instance, #67-9 would refer to the 9th skin of Candy Cat.
- If the photo seems in between skins, put them both. For instance, #67-3&4 would refer to a photo in between skins 3 and 4.
- If the photo is of a detail add -detail. For instance, #67-3-detail.
- If the photo is photoshopped or departs from the standard skins, add -derivative.
- If the photo displays a piece in a broader context, e.g. in someone’s hands, add -context.
- If multiple pieces are displayed in one photo, add their ID numbers. For instance #67-9 & #8-14 would refer to a picture showing the 9th skin of Candy Cat and the 14th skin of Bang Bang.
- Go to the next line and paste the link of the Facebook post.
- Similarly, write down David’s comment, for instance: “David: Candy Cat 2014.”
- Write down all successive sub-comments by David’s friends or David himself by going to a new line for each comment and writing down the author of the comment.
- Skip a line before the next post.
